What’s All the Buzz: Chat GPT and Implications in the Classroom

Friday, March 31
11:00 AM - 11:50 AM

Recently, numerous articles emerged about ChatGPT—a chatbot powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology that gives users an experience as if they are talking to a real human being. Beyond this conversation, it can perform many tasks quickly, such as writing essays for students and other class assignments. How can we, as faculty, help our students navigate this new technology and, at the same time, use it honestly and wisely? How can we, as faculty, learn to work with ChatGPT and other similar AI technologies rather than be wary of them? In this webinar, Brian Jackson from English and Ryan Schuetzler from Information Systems will discuss what they know about ChatGPT, including research and implications in the classroom.
